The Preferences dialog box enables you to set the program preferences.

There are four Tabs in this dialog box:

General tab

Undo/Redo section

You can set the number of undo/redo levels for the program. If you set the Undo/Redo level to 0, the Undo/Redo feature is turned off and the program is uncapable to Undo any of your steps. The maximum number that can be set is 32767, i.e., you can undo/redo up to 32767 steps or modifications once you set this number.

Autosave section

The Autosave feature helps to prevent the losses of information. To enable it, turn the Autosave check box on, then set the period in minutes (it can be from 1 to 200 minutes), within which the program will automatically Save the project.

Startup section

Here you can select which dialog box or screen the program will display first each time you start up. The options are:

The program will save the selected option as the default setting and will use until you change it again.

Files section

Checking the Create Backup Files check box wil let you backup the program files instead of overwriting the latters with old names. The Recent File List Length enables you to set the number (from 1 to 15) of recently used files that are listed in the File menu.

Graphic Editor tab

Ruler Units section

Four options of measurement units are available for the ruler guides of the Workspace in the Graphic Editor. You can select the most convenient for you:

Workspace section

The Worksheet coloring and shadowing is optional. There are two check boxes:

Click the color rectangle opens the Choose Color dialog box. Here you can choose color library and color from the palette. If you want more colors than you have in the palette, click the More button to create custom color in the standard Color window.

Objects section

Here you have two alternatives when adding object in the program's Workspace:

Grid section

To place objects within the Graphic Editor more accurately, you can apply vertical and horizontal grid lines to the Work page.
Enter the Frequency of the grid lines in lines per unit of measurement.

WebSite tab

The Headers/Footers section
Checking the box will make the program automatically insert header and footer in every new created page.

The Pysical Layout section
Check the Show files in tree view box to display the files in addition to folders in the tree view pane of the Physical Layout. When this check box is cleared, files are displayed only in the second pane.

Here you can set the default colors for the Navigate Layout: Selected Page, Orphan Page, Internal Link, External Link colors.

Browsers tab

To preview your Web site projects the program uses the built-in internal browser. You can Add, Modify, Delete, or set as Current any browser. It could be Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator or other browsers. To add a browser, click the Add button, then choose a browser you wish to set and click the Open button. The browser with its specific icon appears in the Browsers window. The Modify button can change the properties of the selected browser. To delete a browser, select it and press Delete. The Current command sets the selected browser as default.

In this tab you can list the starting addresses in your directory. These addresses will be available in the Web Promote option in the File menu. This is done in the Web Promote Lookup box. Here you can Add a new location or Delete an old one.

To add a new location, type its description and URL in the appropriate text fields, then click the Add button.
